OUR COMMITMENT

Aware of the fragility of our land and keen to preserve its richness, we have gradually changed the way we work.

Today, and since 2020, we are 100% organic.
We have been certified by Ecocert since 1 August 2023, harvesting our first certified grapes that year.

Our ecological responsibility is long-standing, as we have not used insecticides since the 1990s and began our anti-herbicide approach in 2014.
In order for our bottles to carry the organic certification, all juices must come exclusively from organic grapes.

Our approach reflects our commitment to preserving biodiversity and soil life.
This commitment enhances the expression of the terroir, the quality and the character of our wine.

OUR TERROIR
AND OUR VISION

Our vineyard consists of 45 plots covering 6.3 hectares within a 6 km radius.
It is mainly located on the right bank of the Marne River around five villages: Hautvillers and Cumières in the premier cru area, Damery, Fleury la Rivière and Vauciennes.

Our fresh and fruity cuvées embody our valley as authentically as possible.
Passionate about champagnes made as naturally as possible, we have placed the barrel at the heart of our house: not only for ageing, as our juices are fermented directly in barrels to limit the woody influence.

Made solely from wood, water and fire, the barrel is one of the most natural containers.
The diversity of our barrels (size and age) from our vineyards and their grape varieties give us the opportunity to create complex and precise blends.
The absence of filtration and malolactic fermentation enhances the aromatics while preserving freshness.

OUR HERITAGE
AND OUR MISSION

Since its construction in 1825, the Damery family estate has undergone significant changes. It was initially used as a residence when the family worked exclusively in the vineyards. Then the cellars were dug out and expanded for champagne production, which was started by Virginie's grandparents. Today, enriched by this expertise, we are deepening our knowledge of our terroir, perfecting our blends and improving our mastery of oak ageing.
